His Excellency has retired as Grand Prior of Australia, but is still an active member of The Order. He is officially considered Grand Prior of Australia Emeritus and now has an advisory role only. He is still a member of the International Supreme Council as Lt Grand Master Emeritus.

HE Dr Samiul Sorrenti GCSJ, OAM, CGSJ,SSIt.,FRACS Grand Prior of Australia and New ZealandAppointed by the Grand Chancellor, with the full consent of the Prince Grand Master. He is responsible for administering his Grand Priory, together with the Grand Priory Council. He is a representative on the International Supreme Council and attends regular meetings

Assists the Grand Prior with the administration of the Grand Priory, providing counsel on all matters
THE NSW EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
Assists the Grand Prior with the administration of the Grand Priory. The members provide council but the Grand Prior has the duty and privilege of making all major decisions.
In addition to the Grand Prior and the Deputy Grand Prior, the Executive Council in NSW consists of Chancellor and Deputy Chancellor; Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer; Marshall; Events and Fundraising Coordinator; Hospittaler General

Responsible for: the oversight and management of The Order’s finances, ensuring they are used effectively and ethically; advising on financial matters and liaising with external auditors; advising on and attending to all compliance requirements, ensuring that they are kept up to date.

Responsible for all matters relating to the Insignia and Dress regulations of The Order, including Ceremonial and Investiture protocol
THE EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR

Responsible for coordinating major fundraising activities and events of The Order, Including Investitures.
HOSPITALLERS
Members are collectively and individually responsible for checking in with members,, especially those who have become less active; connecting with those members and their families who may experience difficulties, including by reason of illness and bereavement; organise and ensure that there is a constant level of communication and support for our members as needed; Ensure the Grand Prior is informed
PRELATE
Fr Manuel Santiago
Responsible for spiritual well being of our members and their families; presides over all religious ceremonies that the Grand Priory of Sydney conducts, including Investitures and church celebrations to mark special feast days and other events within the Order’s calendar year

Responsible for recording and keeping record of Minutes of Executive Council and Members Meetings
NSW SUB-COMMITTEES
The sub-committees are made up of members who volunteer to be involved in certain activities, according to their interests and capacities. The coordinators of sub-committees are invited to attend Executive Council meetings, to give the Executive an update on their activities.
OUTREACH AND CHARITY SELECTION

Responsible for selection of charities that will be supported in each calendar year; organises outreach activities.

Responsible for submitting and following up on grant applications

Responsible for assisting in coordinating social events, in consultation with the Events/ Fundraising coordinator and Outreach/Charity selection coordinator, ensuring that events are spread out over the year.
CRAFT GROUP
Grand Commander Mariarosa Bonanno GCOSJ and Commander Tina Zanco COSJ
Management of the SHOSJ Craft Group, making decisions as to how the goods produced will be donated, sold or distributed. Market stalls or fundraising events need approval of the Grand Prior and must be organised in consultation with the Outreach and Fundraising Coordinator.
